And that's our winner folks! Josh Cairns' penalty stroke takes Kelburne to cup final day.

Kelburne scrape through to the cup final.

Frantic stuff from minute one and definitely not pretty to look at.  A classic example of a game that needed a goal; and after a drag of a first half, finally, five minutes into the second half, it got one, thanks to a Grove penalty stroke slotted away by Gavin Tomlinson

It all stepped up a gear after that, and livened up to a reasonable level of entertainment for the decent sized support that turned out to watch.  With only a few minutes left on the clock Kelburne got their equaliser courtesy of Lee Morton, taking the game to running penalties.

It was a Kelburne penalty stroke, launched high into the goal by Josh Cairns, that decided everything, after Iain Scholefield was fouled by Grove's keeper at the end of the running penalties.

Kelburne will meet Edinburgh University (who defeated Clydesdale in the other semi) in the final in two weeks time.

Overall match entertainment:    ★★☆☆☆ rising to ★★★☆☆ thanks to a better second half.

Team performances:

Kelburne  ★★★☆☆

Grove Menzieshill  ★★★☆☆
